The Cadet Magazine is now available to read online and this edition features a variety of stories about both the young people that make up the Cadet Force and the adult volunteers who give up their time to make it all possible.

There is a feature about a school teacher from Nottingham, who explains how volunteering within the Sea Cadets encouraged her to pursue a career in education, and how her voluntary role has helped improve her prospects in the education profession.

It also features a lot of news about the cadets and what they’ve been up to, including the amazing story of a Nottinghamshire cadet who has earned the highest accolade possible and another who travelled to the US as part of the first ever Jo Cox Memorial Exchange Programme.

As well as these fantastic stories there is a feature that looks at the role of adult volunteers and what motivates them to take part.

There is also an in-depth look at the First Aid training courses that both cadets and adult volunteers participate in, as well as some members discussing how this training has allowed them to offer help to others outside of the cadets.

You can find this year’s copy of The Cadet Magazine online here.
