At the weekend Adult Volunteers and cadets from Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force’s B Company gave Easter Eggs and craft items to children in Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The volunteers and cadets made the trip to the hospice on Sunday 25th March and met some of the children and families who use Bluebell Wood.

Sergeant Instructor Lee-Ann Lloyd, the adult volunteer who organised the collection, explained: “A lot of us have been wanting to do more for local charities and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to show our support.

“It was great to meet some of the families and I am sure all the Easter Eggs will put a big smile on the children’s faces this Easter.

“I want to thank everyone that has helped us achieve this, the cadets, parents and volunteers who happily donated lots of eggs and gifts.”

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is the charity that B Company have pledged to support in 2018.

Lee-Ann explained: “At Christmas Nottinghamshire ACF did a toy run and we were able to donate a substantial amount of toys and gifts.

“The response from the children and families at the hospice was overwhelming, we knew that we had to do something else.
