Rushden Sea Cadet Corps are recruiting volunteers

Rushden Sea Cadet Corps T.S. Diamond is open for business and looking for adult volunteers.

On Tuesday 3 November, Rushden Sea Cadet Corps will be hosting an open evening with a view to recruiting volunteer adults to support the unit in its ambitions and aspirations. They have a number of volunteering opportunities from committee members to instructor. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of the current volunteers as well as to find out about the Corps, and the development opportunities it offers

They need volunteers who are happy to roll up their sleeves, get involved and make a huge positive difference to the lives of the young people they work with. They have lots of roles to match your skills and they offer training to help you gain more. You don’t have to be ex-navy!

Every weekend across the UK there are thousands of young people involved in Sea Cadet activities – learning new skills that will give them a head start in life. In fact, the Sea Cadets work with 14,000 Sea Cadets aged between 10 and 18 – and are the UK’s largest maritime youth charity, with a history dating back to 1856. In Rushden, they meet at the Drill Hall in Victoria Road every Friday evening from 19.00 – 21.00.

So if you want to learn more, please pop down on the open evening.
