Annual general meeting a success in Nottingham

East Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association’s (RFCA) Annual General Meeting was held this week (13 June), with more than 70 people attending.

The event, that took place at Foresters House in Chilwell, Nottingham, was a success with attendees commenting how informative they found the evening.

The assembled members had the opportunity to hear the latest information about developments within the Royal Air Force from the Royal Air Force’s Presentation Team.  The keynote speaker, Colonel FJ Moulton, the Deputy Commander Maritime Reserves, provided an exceptionally interesting insight into the challenges and opportunities that are faced by the modern and developing Maritime Reserves as they provide support to military operations across the globe.

Nick Sharpe, Chief Executive of East Midlands RFCA, said: “This is the second time we have held the event at Foresters House, the training home of HMS Sherwood, the Nottingham Detachment of the Royal Marines and 350 Field Squadron. The event all went to plan with subjects covered including our work around the Reserve Forces, Cadet Organisations, Employer Support and our estates projects.”
