ARMY RESERVE UNIT OPENS ITS DOORS TO THE PUBLIC

An Army Reserve unit is set to host two open events in both Chesterfield and Nottingham to encourage local people to find out more about joining the organisation.

350 (Sherwood Foresters) Field Squadron (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) is inviting members of the public to attend the following locations:

·         Location: Wallis Barracks, Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield S40 2NH

Date: Tuesday 4 November 2014

Time: 6pm to 10pm

·         Location: Foresters House, Swiney Way, Chilwell, Nottingham NG9 6GX

Date: Tuesday 25 November 2014

Time: 6pm to 10pm

People attending the events will have the opportunity to see a range of Reservist demonstrations and talks as well as having the chance to ask any questions they may have about the Army Reserve.

350 (Sherwood Foresters) Field Squadron (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) is a part of 33 Engineer Regiment but its Reservists, who are bomb disposal and search specialists,  train in both Nottingham and Chesterfield on a weekly basis.

The regiment is committed to providing an active sports and adventure programme for all of its soldiers.

No booking is needed for either event so feel free to visit the locations noted above from 6pm onwards.
