Attending a Royal Garden Party

An employer from Chesterfield has attended a Royal Garden Party after demonstrating their support for the Reserve Forces.

John McQuillin, HR Manager, at Franke Sissons in Chesterfield, travelled to Buckingham Palace to attend the prestigious event in May this year.

Franke Sissons currently employs two Reservists who both serve with the Army Reserve.   Franke Sissons is a Swiss company operating in a number of different markets on a global scale.

John McQuillin from Franke Sissons said: “Reservists in my experience are motivated, organised individuals who can bring managerial and team working skills in to our business”.

“Frank Sissons received a Silver Award from the MOD late last year for supporting defence personnel within our organisation. This was a great honour as I know a limited number of awards were presented in Derbyshire. Attending a Royal Garden Party is something I never imagined we would be nominated for but, on behalf of the company, I was delighted to accept the invitation.”

John Wilson, East Midlands Regional SaBRE Director, nominated an appointed member of Franke Sissons to attend the garden party as the company has demonstrated personal support to the Reservist s. John explained: “Reservists make a vital contribution to our national defence capabilities. This contribution would not be possible without the support and understanding of employers such as Franke Sissons.

“Attending a Royal Garden Party is a small recognition for companies who support their Reservist employees.”

The event took place on 12 May 2015.
