CADET AWARDED INSTRUCTOR CADET LANYARD AT 209 (WEST BRIDGFORD) SQUADRON ATC

February is proving a successful month for one Cadet at 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

Cadet Sergeant Grace McDonald has successfully been awarded the Instructor Cadet Lanyard after planning and delivering a 10 minute lesson to teach Cadets at the squadron.

The assessment came after Cadet McDonald spent the day at 1211 (Swadlincote) Squadron in January to learn the best methods of instruction.

The lesson, which was based on Cadet ranks within the Air Training Corps and how to differentiate between them, was assessed by Wing Staff Officer Squadron Leader Wilson.

Cadet Sergeant McDonald said upon receiving her lanyard: “I am glad to have passed because it will enable me to be an asset on my unit as gaining this qualification will not only benefit myself on my development as an NCO, but the Cadet’s learning as well.”
