CHESTERFIELD ARMY CADET FORCE – OPEN EVENING

Chesterfield’s Army Cadet Force are holding an open evening in September for new potential adult volunteers or Cadets to come along to.

Fancy trying your hand at First Aid? Think you could be a first class shot? Looking to do your Duke of Edinburgh Award? The Army Cadet Force welcomes young people and adults from all walks of life.

Detachment Commander Elaine Oram said: “I’d encourage anyone to give it a go, whether you’re at school and have friends in the Cadets, or whether you’re an adult with or without any previous military experience. We have people from many different backgrounds and the ACF has something to offer each of them. Boys and girls need to be between 12 and 18 years and in year 8 at school.”

The open evening is set to take place on Weds 17 September from 7pm to 8:30 at the Chesterfield Detachment, Army Reserve Centre, Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield (opposite Queen’s Park).
