Northampton Sea Cadets

Northampton Sea Cadets are inviting more young people and adults to get on board with them ahead of a packed future calendar of events that starts with a recruitment evening on Tuesday 4 October at 7pm.

It’s already been a busy 2016 for the group which meets off Nunn Mills Road in Northampton who aim to give its young people nautical adventure and fun.

They’ve been prominent in Northampton supporting the Beating of Retreat at St Andrew’s Hospital and raised the Red Ensign at County Hall as part of the celebrations for Merchant Navy Day.

Northampton Sea Cadets at NottinghamCadets have been to Weymouth and Portsmouth on their annual camps and a group also competed in the final of the National Sea Cadet rowing finals in London.

Highlights in the near future include another trip to London for the Trafalgar Parade, battlefield tours, a ceremonial drill competition and five-a-side football tournament.

Young people aged between 10 and 18 years  and adult volunteers are being sought to join the group that meets on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7pm to 9.15pm.
