CORBY AIR CADETS KEEP ON RUNNING

Cadets from 422 (Corby) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets have travelled to RAF Wittering to take part in the South and East Midlands Wing Annual Cross Country Competition.

The 18 Cadets competed against 28 other Squadrons on Sunday 15 February 2015 across a course of both 3.5km and 5km.

The Squadron finished in 7th place overall, despite the completion being a first for some of the Cadets.

Squadron Commander, Flight Lieutenant Kev Ritchie RAFVR(T), said: “This is an absolutely fantastic results for the Cadets. The enthusiasm and teamwork they displayed on the day has really paid off.

“They should be really proud of their achievement.  I know for some this has really sparked an interest in running as they continue to take part in the local Corby Park Run, so let’s see what next year will bring”.
