Major Mitch Pegg, the Officer Commanding explained: “Since the Company was reformed in 2016, it has had a close relationship with successive High Sheriffs and each has been to one of our Company locations, either for a formal visit or on Remembrance Sunday.  It means a lot to know that such prestigious individuals within the county engage with us and support what we do.”

During his tour of the building Colour Sergeant Wayne Sheils highlighted many of the historic features of the barracks that highlight its previous role as home of the antecedent Lincolnshire Regiment.

Mr Day also relived his past as an Officer in the Grenadier Guards when he inspected the company and got reacquainted with the General Purpose Machine Gun during a ‘hands-on’ weapons demonstration.

4 (Lincolnshire) Company, the Royal Anglian Regiment is currently recruiting to find out more about becoming a Reserve visit here.
