Loughborough College students get a ‘Look at Life in the Army Reserve’

Students from Loughborough College’s Public Services Course spent a week with Reservists from 203 Loughborough Transport Squadron to get an insight into the Army Reserves. The Squadron is part of 158 Regiment of The Royal Logistic Corps, an Army Reserve Transport Regiment.

Combined Cadet Force from The King’s School, Grantham, on field exercise

For many of the Cadets from the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) at The King’s School, Grantham, this field exercise was their first opportunity to experience the outdoor activities that are such a central part of what the Cadets offer. It was a glorious autumn day and we were able to observe them getting stuck in to the various stands.

Pilot Officer Sam Hurry, the Adult Volunteer Training Officer for 2160 Sleaford Squadron Air Cadets, is the 2021 recipient of the Vorderman Award from No 1 Group of the Royal Air Force (RAF).

Legacy of Eric Sharpe, Lincs ACF, lives on

Eric Sharpe, former Army Regular and Reservist, and instructor with the Army Cadet Force, died in 2019 aged 86, but his legacy lives on through his generous donations of over £500,000 to various charities and organisations close to his heart.
