City of Lincoln Armed Forces Day
The event is to give the local community an opportunity to meet and talk to members of the 3 Services both regular and volunteers along side the Cadet Forces.
All Services Charities will be in attendance. The event is opened by a Parade of Standards and the raising of the AFD Flag. The Standards inspection is carried out by local officials, including the local MP, the Lord Lieutenant and the City Mayor, as well as Station Commanders from all 4 Stations and the Commanding Officer of the Lincoln Regiment.
There will be a parade area for the Drill Competition between the 3 Cadet Forces. This is an Annual event, with the presentation of the Trophy at the end of a hard fought competition for the victor. Bands will be performing throughout the day, with a marching display by the RAF Waddington Pipe and Drums. There is a stage for various performances throughout the day. The Red Arrows or other flypast will occur over the city.
