Kirkby in Ashfield Armed Forces Day

Mansfield and Ashfield Merchant Navy Association will be starting Ashfield events for this year which will continue until November 2018.

The weekend will start with an exhibition of memorabilia followed by an evening of entertainment together with meat and potato pie and pea supper with wartime tin mug of tea or coffee which can be kept as a souvenir. The Friday evening will focus on a commemoration of the end of the First World War, with the main Armed Forces Day event taking place on Saturday 30th June.

Saturday will see a variety of stalls and displays on the Armed Forces through Ashfield High Street and Plaza, with an open air stage in Ashfield Plaza, singers, military bands, cadets etc. all in attendance.
