Battle of the Somme 100th anniversary special event

To mark exactly 100 years since the start of the Battle of the Somme, Lincoln Castle is hosting a short early morning event with live music, readings, a two minute silence, the playing of The Last Post and other performances involving local actors & children and a very special flypast by a WW1 replica aircraft.

Gates will open at 7am with activities starting from 7.15 – 7.45am. Following on from this visitors will have an opportunity to view Poppies:Wave and have breakfast in our cafe. This event is free and is not ticketed.
