Step into health: Explore your future in the NHS

The NHS invites you to the national Step into Health careers fair in Leeds. This is a prime opportunity to meet with many of the NHS organisations which support the Step into Health programme across the country.

The NHS recognises the transferrable skills and similar organisational values held by people from the Armed Forces community. Step into Health seeks to connect people from the Armed Forces community to employers in the NHS.

Whether you are thinking of your long term future beyond the Armed Forces, currently making the transition to civilian life or are already a veteran looking for your next career move, this event is for you. Spouses and dependents of serving personnel and veterans are very welcome to attend to explore the varied career opportunities offered by the NHS. The NHS Health Careers team will be delivering presentations to help you understand the broad range of employment options and apprenticeships in the NHS. Step into Health organisations will be hosting a workshop to discuss specific career areas in greater depth and there will be opportunities to sharpen your interview skills with mock interview sessions.

Organisations from the charity sector which support the Armed Forces community will also be present to discuss the assistance they can offer to those who are looking for employment.
