‘Thanks and Fun’ – A tribute to all the Armed Forces past and present

Mansfield’s tribute to the Armed Forces takes place on Sunday 1st July from 10.15am to 3pm.

We have representation from all the forces army, navy and airforce plus Help4Heroes, The Royal British Legion, local cadets and police cadets.

On the day –

• We have a short parade lead by the Mansfield District Corps of Drums from The Buttercross on West Gate to the Market Place where all the Armed Forces will be on show and the official opening ceremony will take place.
• Attractions include authentic army vehicles, WW1 trench, memoribilia, 1940’s sing-along, a vintage craft market, free children’s army activities and face painting.
• Food is available to purchase or bring a picnic and sit on the grass for a lovely day out.
• An RAF memorial Flypast by a Dakota

This is a free event to say thank you to the Armed Forces past, present and future. Leave your own message of thanks on our giant heart. All the family is welcome to come along and share memories with us.
