LONG EATON AIR CADETS BAG £370 IN THREE HOURS

Thanks to ASDA’s commitment to the local community, Air Cadets from Long Eaton raised a much need £370 pounds in an amazing three hours of Bag packing at their Long Eaton store.

The cadets from 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron, Air Training Corps, were offered the opportunity by ASDAS’s Sam Bliss, the stores Community Life Champion.

Siezing the chance around twenty cadets descended upon the store’s check outs and assisted the customers with packing their Christmas shopping and raisin the magnificent sum thanks to the generosity of Asda’s customers.

“We must thank Asda for giving us the opportunity at this very busy time and we certainly must thank the customers of the Long Eaton Store who have contributed so handsomely to our Squadron Funds” said the Squadron’s Adjutant, Flight Lieutenant Allan Munns.

To the great surprise of the cadets they found themselves packing the Christmas Shopping of Local Member of Parliament, Jessica Lee, a great supporter of all the Cadet’s community activities and a regular ASDA shopper.

The money raised will go towards  providing adventure, sport and academic training for the cadets  who have recently moved into their new Cadet Training Centre.

The Cadets would like to thank Asda and all those customers who gave so generously.
