Ulysses Trust’s Annual Review 2020
Our colleagues at the Ulysses Trust have recently released The Ulysses Trust Annual Review 2020.
The Ulysses Trust provides encouragement, advice and essential financial support for challenging expeditions undertaken by the UK’s Volunteer Reserve and Cadet forces.
“As we come out of lockdown, the challenge of mounting an expedition as part of the post-COVID recovery is something that we recommend to boost recruiting, enable retention and improve physical and mental resilience. The Ulysses Trust is here to help Volunteer Reserve, University and Cadet units achieve this through both expeditionary advice and grants, especially to cadet units from disadvantaged backgrounds.” – Rex Stephenson CBE, Regional Ulysses Trust Representative.
The Annual Review contains a detailed summary of their work in 2020 and how it compares to the previous year.
The review contains:
- An update on their strategy to support disadvantaged cadets
- An introduction to the ‘New Horizons’ fundraising campaign
- A detailed analysis of the Trusts’ performance
- Case studies that investigate the impact of the expedition experience
- Messages from adventurous ambassadors Lev Wood and Tania Noakes
- Financial and funder details, with special thanks to supporters and donors
- A look ahead to plans for the future
