A Health and Rehabilitation Trust in Daventry demonstrated its support for the Armed Forces community last week by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

Reach for Health provides specialist support for people suffering from a range of serious medical conditions. Robert Juson, the Chair of Trustees, signed the Covenant on behalf of the Trust at the Reach for Health centre in Daventry on Wednesday 29 August.

By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, Reach for Health has committed to being an Armed Forces friendly organisation, this includes providing support for the employment of veterans, supporting employees in the Reserve Forces and ensuring no members of the Armed Forces community face disadvantage in the provision of their services.

Reach for Health’s Chair of Trustees, Robert Juson explained: “We are all very proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and look forward to developing ways of helping veterans, regulars, reservists and their families in respect of physical & mental health rehabilitation.”

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families will be treated fairly.

John Wilson, East Midlands Regional Employer Engagement Director for the Ministry of Defence, said: “I’m thrilled that Reach for Health has shown support through the Armed Forces Covenant. The Trust staff have a real understanding of the benefits Defence personnel can bring to the workplace and they also understand and are able to provide the specialist types of support some members of the Armed Forces community need.”

Over 2,800 business organisations across the UK have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and 47 are in Northamptonshire.

Reach for Health is the operating name for the registered charity, Daventry Health Rehabilitation Trust.
